GREEN LANE DENTAL CENTRE
All-on-X Dental Implants & Same-Day Fixed Teeth
Fixed Teeth. A New Smile. In Just One Day.*
Are you struggling with loose dentures, missing teeth, or teeth that are failing and can no longer be saved? Our All-on-X full-arch implant treatment can replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed implant-supported bridge.
Depending on your individual anatomy and available bone, we typically use at least 5 implants in the upper jaw and commonly 4 or more implants in the lower jaw. Where suitable implant stability can be achieved, failing teeth can be removed, implants placed and a fixed provisional bridge provided on the same day.
*Same-day fixed teeth are subject to clinical suitability and adequate implant stability. Individual results vary.
REAL PATIENT - Before and after: 5 upper implants with a same-day fixed provisional bridge.
Full-arch implant treatment
What Is All-on-X?
All-on-X is a full-arch dental implant treatment for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth, have failing teeth that require extraction, or are struggling with removable dentures. Rather than replacing every missing tooth with an individual implant, a carefully planned number of implants support a single fixed full-arch bridge.
The 'X' means that the number of implants is selected for the individual patient. Depending on bone, anatomy, bite and restorative requirements, treatment may involve 5 or more implants in the upper jaw, commonly 4 or more in the lower jaw, strategic angulation where appropriate, a fixed provisional bridge during healing, and either a definitive hybrid or premium porcelain/zirconia restoration.
Treatment journey
Same-Day Fixed Teeth
For suitable patients, failing teeth can be removed and implants placed at the same appointment. Digital records are then used to prepare the provisional bridge. The patient can relax while the bridge is prepared - typically around 2-3 hours in suitable cases - before it is secured to the implants.
Immediate loading cannot be guaranteed and depends on bone quality, implant stability and the individual clinical situation.

Real patient case
Real Patient Case 1 - Same-Day Upper Fixed Teeth
Actual Green Lane Dental Centre patient. Treatment: 5 upper implants and same-day fixed provisional bridge.
This patient presented with multiple loose, broken and failing upper teeth. The remaining failing upper teeth were removed and five dental implants were placed. Suitable stability was achieved, allowing a fixed full-arch provisional bridge to be connected on the same day.
Suitability
Who May Benefit from All-on-X?
All-on-X may be considered for people with loose or uncomfortable dentures, multiple missing teeth, extensively broken or heavily restored teeth, advanced gum disease with failing teeth, or those who have been advised that many remaining teeth require extraction. It can also be useful where reduced bone volume means a carefully planned implant distribution is preferable.
Been told you don't have enough bone? In selected cases, strategic positioning and angulation of implants can make use of available bone and may reduce the need for extensive grafting. A CBCT scan is used to assess what is realistically possible.

Real Patient Case 2 - Full-Mouth Hybrid Bridges
Before-and-after clinical photographs from an actual Green Lane Dental Centre patient.
This patient presented with severely compromised teeth in both jaws. Treatment involved five implants in the upper jaw and four implants in the lower jaw. Fixed provisional bridges were provided during the initial phase and, after healing, replaced with definitive fixed hybrid bridges.

Final restoration choices
Two Choices for Your Final Fixed Teeth
Option 1 – Hybrid Full-Arch Fixed Teeth
Approximately £8,500-£9,000 per jawOur hybrid full-arch bridge offers a more affordable route to fixed implant-supported teeth. It uses a high-strength resin-based restorative material with reinforcement, providing a lighter restoration than a conventional full porcelain/zirconia bridge.
Why consider a hybrid bridge? Fixed to the implants; lower initial cost; lighter restoration; good aesthetics; generally easier to repair or replace if wear develops; and useful where restorative space or biomechanical considerations favour a lighter prosthesis.
Hybrid restorations are subject to wear. Repair or replacement requirements vary with bite, diet, parafunction, maintenance and other individual factors. Our hybrid bridge is provided with a 5-year guarantee subject to written guarantee conditions and required maintenance/review appointments. After that period, replacement is currently available from approximately £1,000, subject to assessment and the implants/components remaining suitable.
Aesthetics: Acceptable to good
Provides an attractive, natural-looking smile and a significant improvement over missing teeth or removable dentures. However, it may not offer the same translucency, surface detail and lifelike finish as premium porcelain or zirconia.
Expected restoration lifespan: Approximately 5–7 years
With good oral hygiene, regular professional maintenance and appropriate care, the restoration may typically last around 5–7 years before repair, refurbishment or replacement may be required.
Option 2 – Premium Full Porcelain/Zirconia Restoration
Approximately £17,000 per jawFor patients seeking our premium definitive restoration, we can provide a full-arch porcelain/zirconia solution. Your implant dentist will explain the advantages, limitations, maintenance requirements and suitability of both restorative options.
Aesthetics: Excellent and highly natural
Provides a refined, lifelike appearance with carefully designed tooth shapes, colour, surface texture and natural translucency. This is the preferred option for patients seeking the highest level of dental aesthetics.
Expected restoration lifespan: Approximately 10–15 years
With good oral hygiene, regular professional maintenance and appropriate care, the restoration may typically last around 10–15 years before significant repair or replacement may be required.
| Comparison | Hybrid Full-Arch Fixed Teeth | Premium Full Porcelain/Zirconia |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed to implants | Yes | Yes |
| Removed by patient | No | No |
| Relative weight | Lighter | Heavier |
| Initial investment | £8,500-£9,000 | Approx. £17,000 |
| Repairability | Generally easier | More complex |
| Wear | More likely over time | More wear-resistant |
| Aesthetics | Acceptable to good | Excellent; highly natural and lifelike |
| Expected restoration lifespan | Approximately 5–7 years | Approximately 10–15 years |
More expensive does not automatically mean more appropriate. We recommend the restoration that best suits anatomy, bite, implant configuration, expectations and budget.

Real Patient Case 3 - Premium Full-Arch Rehabilitation
Actual Green Lane Dental Centre patient - full upper and lower arch rehabilitation.
This patient required extensive rehabilitation of both jaws. Seven implants were placed in the upper jaw and six in the lower jaw. Fixed provisional restorations were used during treatment and, following healing, definitive full-arch porcelain restorations were provided.
Patient benefits
Benefits of All-on-X
The bridge is secured to the implants and is removed professionally when required.
When adequate implant stability is achieved, a provisional fixed bridge can often be connected on the day of surgery.
Strategic implant placement, including angled implants where appropriate, can sometimes reduce the need for extensive grafting.
Tooth shape, size, position and shade can be planned around your facial appearance and preferences.

What Happens at My Consultation?
Your assessment includes examination of your remaining teeth, gums, bite and available bone. Where indicated, 3D CBCT imaging and digital scanning are used to plan implant positions and the restoration. We will explain the recommended implant number, whether teeth need removal, whether same-day fixed teeth are realistically achievable, whether grafting may be required, the hybrid and porcelain/zirconia options, treatment stages, maintenance and your individual fee.
